EP #61 The best storage hack for your knitwear - Knit & Tell Friday

How to Hang Your Bulky Sweaters Without Creasing Them

Welcome back to Knit Your Stress Away! If you’ve ever struggled to keep your bulky sweaters looking fresh without creases or stretched-out shoulders, today’s post is for you. Whether your sweaters are handmade treasures or store-bought staples, this simple hack will save you space and keep your cozy knits in tip-top shape.

And if you’re new to knitting, stick around—this might just be the inspiration you need to start your own sweater collection (made by you).

The Sweater Hanging Hack You Need

Here’s how to hang bulky sweaters without creasing or stretching them:

1. Fold Your Sweater

Lay the sweater flat and fold it in half vertically, aligning the sleeves.

2. Position the Hanger

Place a hanger under the armpit of the folded sweater.

3. Drape the Sweater

Drape the body of the sweater over one side of the hanger and the sleeves over the other side.

That’s it! No more stretched-out shoulders or annoying creases. This method not only saves drawer space but also helps your sweaters last longer—perfect for those treasured knits you’ll want to wear for years.
